@2004rickyh Cheers! Now all I’ve got to do is hope that I can install this flawlessly, couldn’t live with bubbles on the iPad. Just got the Griffin Elan Passport case which is great all I need now is this Clear Coat stuff and I’m good to go. Cheers for the tip.

@RemofRenaissance Yeah you can get this shipped to the UK straight from clear coat website itself. Mine arrived this morning in the UK, they charged $9.99 for shipping

I love my clear coat I received and applied mine yesterday. Its so easy to apply compared to invisible shield. Good tip regarding the small side pieces applying with no solution worked really well.

Again thanks for the review. You should be on commission with clear coat :)

how exactly do you get it professionally installed

@15thirty you moron. The moisture indicator is inside the headphone jack, Spraying over your iPad with liquid is about the same danger as living in a humid enviroment.

dude i ggot mine for 29.99 and installed for free lol

Spraying your iPad with liquid is a terrible idea. The moisture sensor is fairly sensitive, will void your warrantee (of any kind) and you’ll receive no help on the device regardless of the issues you have.

DON’T GET YOUR APPLE PRODUCTS WET! There has to be a better way to do this.

@cjbirk Install for the iPad is $15.

Hey, how much is this all together? The invisible shield is $39.99 on their website, but how much is it for the guy to put it on for you? I don’t think i could do this on my own without getting frustrated as hell. Great video by the way, two thumbs up!

@larrygreenberg If I bring in invisible shield, basically a 30bucks scratch-proof version of clear coat, will they do the installation for me?

    @TheConn0rz I am.

I thought you were getting the 3G version?

  20. Comment by deshar — July 31, 2010 @ 8:58 am

@atomicfart3514 i’ve used both and can attest that the finished work of clear-coat looks much better than zagg and lasts much longer. I think zagg just does a better job advertising.

I still like Zagg Invisible Shields the best. I think their quality excels and if I;m not mistaken they have been the longest running and first to develop this type of clear protection. Plus, they carry protection for a lot more devices.

Having a Clear Coat on my 3GS right now, I can attest to the quality of the film and I definately will be putiing this onto my iPad, when I get it.
I’ll do the front and back, but I won’t bother with the sides, as they’re sure to peel in time, being so thin.

@larrygreenberg Jon4lakers has his power button stopped working after he came back to pick his up from the booth at the mall.

@Snowintosh I mentioned in the video, Clear Coat has a variety of mall cart locations in the Philadelphia Metro area. Check their web site for exact addresses.
